Enos for Iowa Senate

Wes believes that economic development and job creation will be the most important priority of the next legislature. Iowa’s business climate continues to lag behind the rest of the nation and its neighbors in the Midwest. Wes is committed to developing an atmosphere in Iowa where the private sector is allowed to grow and create sustainable jobs for Iowa families.

Wes believes that Iowa’s current tax system is woefully outdated and places a crippling burden on families, business and property owners. Wes will work to simplify Iowa’s tax code and lower taxes on businesses, individuals and property owners to help Iowa grow.

Wes understands that Iowa does not have a revenue problem, Iowa has a serious spending problem. Wes believes that lawmakers should lead Iowa forward by embracing responsible budget management, rather than tax increases and increasing Iowa’s debt.

Wes understands that Iowa’s education system has declined significantly over the last 12 years as state government has taken a more intrusive role in the education system. Wes believes that education choices are best made by parents, teachers and local authorities. Wes will support efforts to eliminate Governor Culver’s “one size fits all” approach to education.
